A Girls Gotta Have A Little Ruffle...

Dsc00407Eat your heart out Barney's!

Rachel and Sarah, have you beat by a long shot

Check out this super cute garter stitch ruffle bag they whipped up.  That's right you too can have one just like it...for FREE (the pattern, that is).  I knitted this up in under a day flat.

Specs

Yarn: (okay, so I just tried to find the label, and it's no where in site)...charcoal grey color that's really soft and squishy ultra merino in a worsted weight.

Needles: 10's and 7's

Others:  Vinyl, yes, vinyl (I was shotting for something along the lines of leather) purse strap from JoAnns and a cute Dsc00398rhinestone pin from my own collection (I have a habit of picking them up, so I have quite a few that I can intermix).

Click on the photo and get a closer look at what Barney's garter stitch dog sweater swatch goes for--RIDICULOUS!  If you couldn't read the small print, it says $150!

Also, I would highly recommend a liner.  No picture of mine at the moment, the serger was really giving me hell lastnight! It's a yellow and white demasked lightweight upolstry fabric.

and yeah, some of those designer knits are such a ripoff. duuuude. makes you wonder where all the money's going...

Super cute - and so chic in black!! Thanks for the link.

What they are charging for that ultra-simple dog sweater is truly outrageous!

Ooooh, it looks FABULOUS! I love it in black and the pin on the front is perfect! I just finished one in pink with a leopard printed lining, I love it!!!

It looks great!!!! I love the pin you added... very chic! I think my next may be in black! =)

How Cool! I love knitted bags.. but unfortunately I carry way too much crap on a daily basis for a cute little bag.

Looks like Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran :)

I absolutely love your bag - very chic. Done in black it even looks better than the pattern pics. I think I see one in my future(all in the interest of de-stashing, of course!)...or maybe I can make several and give them as gifts.

Oh, I love it! Thanks for the link. I think I'll be doing one of these pretty soon. It looks like good movie knitting.
